In the eighties, when the IPD (Industrializadora de Porcinos Delta) project was started, the Board of Directors looked for a name that would give an identity to all their future projects.

But, what does Delta mean? There are many references: one, has a practical or geographical context, such as the area where a branch´s river meets another branch. The merging of these two, makes them stronger, and bigger. Other reference, is a philosophical one: the name was chosen, because it represents one of the main Values of Grupo Delta: team-work. In addition, it represents the idea of growth, and strength.

Therefore, the chosen logo comes from the Greek alphabet, the letter Delta.
